A brilliant first night of the league in the West Bromwich Sunday 6-a-side League with all teams in attendance as expected. It was great to welcome the seven new teams as all games were played in good spirits and to a high standard. We wish all teams the best of luck in the season ahead.

The game of the week this week goes to the closely fought game between 'TNF Allstars' and 'The Hill of Cape' to kick off the league, a close and tight affair between two teams that will run each other close every time they play. 'TNF Allstars' ran out 3-1 winners on the first night of the league running and will go into week two full of confidence and looking to build on this brilliant start. It will be interesting to see how the game goes when the two teams meet later in the season.

Team of the week this week are early league leaders 'STL'. A fine performance after the first week means they are the ones to watch even at this early stage. Next week sees 'STL' against 'Invincibles FC' to see if they can continue there good start, who will come out on top?
