THE WOLVERHAMPTON SUNDAY LEAGUE IS BACK!

Great to see some wonderful games played as the Wolverhampton Sunday League returned this week with all teams in attendance as expected. It was also brilliant to return to Khalsa Academy for the first time since March and as I'm sure all will agree a welcome return to a fantastic facility.

Game of the night goes to the game between 'The Lloyds' and 'Warstones FC', two closely matched teams who were very competitive throughout. Seven goals were scored and some great football was played as 'The Lloyds' came out 4-3 winners. Both will be looking to climb the table as we hit the second half of the season.

'The Lloyds' are also our team of the week after winning the game above and with this result now find themselves in 3rd and looking towards the top two spots. With 3 points separating 2nd to 6th it will be interesting to see who comes out on top and if 'The Lloyds' can start to chase down the league leaders as well, due to the fixtures being moved back due to the stoppage the same fixtures are due next week so can they come out on top again?
