WOLVERHAMPTON CUP STARTS WITH A BANG!

A fantastic start to the Wolverhampton Cup in the Wolverhampton Sunday League with all teams in attendance and accounted for on a very competitive first night. 

It was great to welcome 'Is It Half Time Yet?' for the first time as they are making a guest appearance from the Brierley Hill Tuesday League. They started with a win and with two weeks to go until finals week have put themselves in a good position to push to be champions, good luck to them and all teams moving forward.

Game of the night this week goes to the game between 'The Lloyds' and 'PuyolPantsDown CF'. Both Group B matches were brilliant and with both games finishing in a draw it is anyone's guess who will finish where in two weeks time. This game just pipped it as 'PuyolPantsDown CF' were 5-1 down at half time and scored with the last kick of the game in order to get the draw. As both games were so close it will be interesting to see how the group plays out.

Team of the week are 'Warstones FC'. A big 6-1 win to start the cup shows there intent when it comes to the Cup and will be looking to build on this next week. Can they go on to have a high finish in the Cup?
