WOLVERHAMPTON SUNDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKIING NEWS 24TH APRIL
All the latest news for the Wolverhampton Sunday 6-a-side League is direct from Khalsa Academy.
Another great night of action in the Khalsa Academy Wolverhampton 6-a-side league. Unfortunately we did have one non-attendance as 'Staffordshire Seagulls' were not present for there fixture and failed to notify the Area Manager about this. As this is the second non-attendance in a row the team have been removed from the league with immediate effect. I know this does open up a space in the league but it is key we have reliable teams in order to run effectively.
This week our game of the week was the top of the table clash between first placed 'KFC Munchers' and second place 'Bench Odds XI' the game finished 4-2 to the top of the table team which puts a massive blow in 'Bench Odds XI'S' title hopes as 'KFC Munchers' are now 5 points ahead in the league table with the end of the season drawing in. This result is huge for the winning team including a masterclass display from Kasim Khan' which all but secures the league for them if current form is to go by with only 2 losses in there last 18 games.
The team of the week was a fantastic footballing display from 'Red Terror V6' where they dominantly beat their opposition 'Warstones FC' as they managed to secure a great victory. This result sees them close in on 'Bench Odds XI' in second place, this contest could become interesting as the season continues to develop, four games to go, what will the end of season table look like?
The league is now off for bank holiday weekend and will resume again on Sunday 8th May 2022. We would like to wish all teams and there families a very happy bank holiday weekend and look forward to seeing you all when the league returns. As a side note this will be the final bank weekend until the end of August so no interuptions until then.
