WOLVERHAMPTON SUNDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 19TH DECEMBER 21

All the latest news for the Wolverhampton Sunday 6-a-side League direct from Khalsa Academy.

A brilliant night in the Wolverhampton Sunday League played at Khalsa Academy.

We did unfortunately have two non-attendances as 'Atletico V.2' and 'Bantock Bulldogs' were unable to fulfil their fixtures. The league will be in contact with both to confirm the teams return after the Christmas break. It is paramount all teams try their hardest every week to be there every week and if it is not possible to contact the Area Manager in plenty of time to make other arrangements. On the other hand, 'Bxllers Clxb' were also not present but gave the required 7 days notice needed to cancel a fixture, they will be back the first week back.

Game of the night this week goes to the game between 'All Stars FC' and 'KFC Munchers'. A fantastic game played out by both teams as they battled each other for the bragging rights between the two teams but it was 'KFC Munchers' who ran out 3-2 winners and therefore remain undefeated for the season so far. 1 of two teams to win four out of four so far the have the title for this season well in there sights but there is a long way to go.

'Bench Odds XI' are our team of the week as they climbed up to third and are yet to lose in the league with 3 wins and 1 draw. This means they are breathing down the neck of the league leaders, can they break into the top two as the season progresses?

The league is now off for the Christmas and New Year break meaning the league will resume again on Sunday 9th January 2022 as the centre is closed. We would like to wish everyone involved with the league a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.
