WOLVERHAMPTON SUNDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 20TH MARCH

All the latest news for the Wolverhampton Sunday 6-a-side League direct from Khalsa Academy.

All teams were in attendance as expected and some brilliant games played throughout.

The game of the evening was a thriller between 2nd placed 'Bench Odds XI' and 5th placed '50 Shades Of Andy Gray' where the 2nd placed side entered the game favourites. However a powerful performance from '50 Shaded of Andy Gray' saw them edge the game 5-4 with some excellent attacking displays to ensure they won the game, especially from Callum Green who scored a hat trick on route to victory. There are now just 4 points separating 2nd and 5th place which could make for an exciting end to the season.

The team of the evening this week is given to 'Warstones FC' due to their victory against 'Staffordshire Seagulls' with the final score being 5-1 thanks to goals from Jack Mays, Danny Lambert, and Luke Jones. This victory for 'Warstones FC' means they move only one point away from the team they played as they sit in the space above them in the league.

All teams must note that due to a number of teams not being avaliable because of Mother's Day commitments the league will be off on Sunday 27th March 2022 and will resume Sunday 3rd April 2022, see you all then and Happy Mother's Day to all Mother's out there!
