WOLVERHAMPTON SUNDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 21st NOVEMBER

A fantastic start to the season in the Wolverhampton Sunday League with all teams in attendance and accounted for on a very competitive first night of the season. It was great to welcome new team 'Bantock Bulldogs' who played out a very entertaining final game of the night and it will be interesting to see how they get on in the season ahead. Good luck to all as the season progresses.

Unfortunately we did have one unplanned non-attendance as 'No Farmers No Food FC' were not present for their fixture. The league will be in contact to confirm the teams return to the league next week. 'Warstones FC' were not present for their fixture too after giving the required 7 days notice to cancel a fixture and we look forward to seeing them back in action this week. It is paramount all teams are present for there fixtures and if they are unable to fulfil a fixture get in contact with the Area Manager in order to allow the league to run as smoothly as possible each week. 

Game of the night this week goes to the game that kicked off the new season between last season's Premier Division champions 'Atletico V.2' and third placed finishers '50 Shades Of Andy Gray'. In a closely fought contest that could have gone either way it was reigning champions 'Atletico V.2' that took the 2-1 win to start the season. Will they be the ones to watch again this season? Next up, Division One champions 'Bench Odds XI'.

Team of the week for this week are 'Red Terror V.6'. making an impressive start to the season with a 4-2 win over 'Bxllers Clxb'. Will they be the ones to watch for the title come the end of the season?
