WOLVERHAMPTON SUNDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 4TH JUNE

All the latest news for the Wolverhampton Sunday 6-a-side League is direct from Khalsa Academy.

A fantastic start to the season in the Wolverhampton Sunday League  on a very competitive first night of the season with all teams in attendance as expected.

It was also great to welcome new team 'Brockmoor Athletic', who put in a brilliant first performance on the night. We wish them all the best moving forward in the league!

Lots of contenders for game of the night this week but it's the game between 'Red Terror V6' and 'Bostin Bliston' to start the new season off that takes it. 5 goals and a lot of entertaining football played to start the season, but it was 'Bostin Bliston' who ran out 3-2 winners in the end. With this fantastic start it will be interesting to see how the rest of the season goes for them and if 'Red Terror V6' can hit back when the two teams face off again later in the season.

Team of the week for this week are 'Unathletic Madrid', making an impressive start to the season with a win over the '50 Shades of Andy Gray'. Will they be the ones to watch for the season ahead? Next up new team 'Brockmoor Athletic'.

As a side note, we have been in contact with the centre regarding the nets at the venue and have been in conversation over the fact the need clipping to the goal frame in order to be better to use. They have confirmed they will be ordering some ASAP but in the meantime we will be cable tie the nets for the time being in order for us to have better quality moving forward. Apoligises for any inconvenience caused and we look forward to this problem being solved.
