WOLVERHAMPTON SUNDAY LEAGUE OFF WITH A BANG!

A fantastic start to the season in the Wolverhampton Sunday League with all teams in attendance and accounted for on a very competitive first night of the season. It was great to welcome new team 'KFC Munchers' who played out a very entertaining final game of the night and it will be interesting to see how they get on in the season ahead. Good luck to all as the season progresses.

Lots of contenders for game of the night in the Premier Division this week but its the game between last seasons 2nd and 3rd placed teams, 'SLR McLaren' and 'Atletico V.2' that takes it. 'Atletico V.2' were able to get a little revenge with there 2-1 win after narrowly missing out on 2nd place last season. It will be interesting to see how both teams fair this season in a very competitive league.

Game of the night in Division One was the game between 'Warstones FC' and 'ZeroTolerance'. Two evenly matched teams that fought very hard for the victory but it ended in a very entertaining 2-2 draw. As the season progresses it will be interesting to see where these two teams end come the end of this season 10 week season.

Team of the week for this week are 'Bench Odds XI'. making an impressive start to the season with a 3-0 win over 'Brexit F.C'. Will they be the ones to watch for the title in Division One come the end of the season?
